Winning Design After Tons of Research

Having owned this style of refridgerator over the past two decades, we always felt that the design and quality fell short with the brands we've had before. When the latest one was on it's last legs the research and shopping began.
Quality, Reviews, Funtionality and Value.....in that order, is was how we prioritized what was MOST important to us. Honestly, on our third day of visiting showrooms and big box stores, we had ordered a Samsung unit, lots of features, great price (that ended that day) so hence ordering it. When we got home that night I sat down and went through the reviews and to my surprise we saw lots of poor consumer responses that included both the unit and customer service experience. The biggest issues brought up were the lack of ice and clogging up of the dispenser....something we clearly wanted to avoid....been there, done that. The next morning we cancelled that order.
The one we really liked was the Bosch 800 Series....we loved how it felt, the lighting, shelf options, easy controls and how solid it was built. It was a bit more pricey, but you get what you pay for. It also was built with dual compressors, which really seperated it from the competition. We didn't want a front door ice/water dispenser, as this take up alot of real estate inside the refer, plus the ice capacity is typically lacking.
This does offer a one handed water dispenser inside the door that is wonderfully designed, everyone loves it. The ice bin in the basement has large capacity, recovery and makes a more oblong/round cube, versus the traditonal half moon wedge....which you'll really appreciate.
The flex drawer has been a real salvation as it can adapt to your needs for both short/long term use or easy, quick access. We've noticed a substantial longer shelf life with fruits and vegetables. The App is also pretty slick if you're into those features.
Lastly, we've been so happy with this model....the performance, dependability and design have been awesome. We also have gotten so many compliments...and that's just about the look...then they open it and are amazed...even those that have Sub-Zero and other high end appliances.
If you're in the market for this style of appliance, do yourself a favor and at least give it a test drive, look at the reviews and really compare. Like I said before you get what you pay for and in our opinion the investment was well worth it!!!!
