this range is a nightmare!! touch screen controls have stopped responding. samsung said to simply turn off the breaker and turn it back on or unplug the stove and plug it back in after a few minutes. it worked the first time, the second time, the third....the 20th...etc....getting an idea here!! controls often stop working in the middle of cooking something. my holiday cooking experience was a complete stressful nightmare. this product is a lemon. samsung help! you can do better!! this product replaced my 20-year-old stove....i which i had my old stove back. extremley upset.

Looks nice but some Cons

i received compensation for this review but the review is my own. this is a replacement for a stand alone range (another samsung....the glass top cracked after 6 years). the delivery went smoothly without fanfare. pros: looks great fits right in the opening control panel lockout cons: the control knob is plastic (the previous samsung range that i had was metal knobs) no fast boil on the range control panel is easily activated (i was cleaning the cooktop and i kept activating the panel just by lightly brushing against it) this is my initial impression so far. btw, when the control panel lock is activated, the oven door was also locked by an electronic lock. this could be a potential weak point, keep that in mind.

we have had this oven working for about a week..in that time, it has locked us out 3 times to where the touch panel is not responding to anything. there is no icon to say what is happening. samsung support just says reset your breaker. this is a real pain to have to go outside in the raining freezing weather to flip the breaker. we also had to install child protection on the knobs because they accidently come on while preparing food. another problem. i really want to know why the panel becomes unresponsive to touch. i can turn it on with the ap but not at the oven front. why?

Smart panel keeps freezing

our stove is less than three weeks old already having problems with the smart panel. just the same as reviewer below. the panel just freezes and does not respond to touch until you reset the power. there is no way i am going to be pulling my stove out every time it does this & don't see why i should have to. i messaged samsung prior to writing this as they encourage you to do. complete waste of time, they try to say it is because it was not professionally installed. do you have to have a professional to plug an electric stove in these days?? plus they tried to say they have not had this issue before. i only have to glance below at the reviews to know this is not true.

Quick-heat oven, easy-clean cooktop

we're only two days in, but so far, we're thrilled to have this range. the oven heats quickly, and with the added benefit of displaying how warm it is as it preheats. the two dual-size burners are a nice feature, though the knobs could be better marked to indicate which size you're controlling. time will tell how easy it is to keep the range clean. there have been marks left each time we've used the cooktop, even just to boil water, though they cleaned up well with cooktop cleaner. baking a pizza left marks in the oven that don't seem to want to come off, though i must say the crust was wonderfully crispy. the steam clean feature could help eliminate the need for smelly self-clean cycles. i received compensation for this review but the review is my own.

DANGEROUS - fire risk

the burner and oven controls are way too sensitive - they will turn on at the slightest touch or bump with no indication they are on. we have burned hands several times, and almost started several fires. the last straw was a serious kitchen fire when the burner was accidentally turned on while a pan with grease was on top. we were not in the kitchen and had our smoke detectors not alerted us, the entire house would have caught fire. this particular flaw has been reported multiple times with the same outcomes (fire) on other samsung range models as well. this is a serious and dangerous design flaw that should be rectified immediately, along with a product recall.

Control panel stops working

only had a few weeks but the control panel stops responding every few days. looks like i'm not the only one with the issue. it will start working again if i power cycle it but i shouldn't have to be pulling the range out every few days to power cycle it. worried it will stop responding while the oven is on and i won't be able to turn it off.

i love having the conventional and convection options and the oven heats quickly as do the burners. the only downside is that the buttons and knobs on the front are very sensitive to the touch, and can accidentally be turned on when cleaning. i recieved compensation for this review.

I bought this last month and I am in love with it. Everything about it is great! I love the design and the ease of being able to set it from my phone if I need to. I would definately recommend this range. The only thing I can complain about is the digital screen when it comes to trying to wipe clean every button gets pushed so you have to make sure you turn anything off that got turned on while wiping.

This Stove Is Amazing!

This stove is amazing it has made me love cooking again! My old stove took forever for the burners to heat up, this new stove heats up in no time! I can cook a whole meal on the stovetop in half the time my old stove took. And the oven is amazing! No more burned on the edges pizzas with raw middles! Now frozen pizza cooks evenly and turns out crispy and delicious all the way through. I love the Wi-Fi and how I can pair my stove with my Alexa. I use the Wi-Fi to help me preheat the oven and set timers for how long I need to cook my food. The 5 burners are amazing I can cook an entire meal on the stovetop all at once. My old stove didn't do half of what this stove can do. And I love the fingerprint resistant stainless steel it stays looking clean all the time. I couldn't be happier with this stove! I've posted my online review on Samsung and it was approved but I do not know where I'm supposed to submit it on the Insiders page. My Username on Samsung is ErinS79 and the title to the review is Huge Upgrade From My Old Stove. I keep getting emails from Insiders that I haven't done my review. Good but could be improved

I'm still working out the kinks with this range. The stovetop seems to work well, definitely better than my last one, but there's no indication on the burners that have two rings which way to turn the knob for the small ring and which way to turn for the large ring. I inevitably always turn the knob the wrong way. Just marking it somehow would be nice. The stovetop does cook evenly though and heats up fast without overheating, and can be turned down quickly if needed. The oven - I'm a bit iffy about. It seems like the right hand side cooks faster than the left hand side, and the normal rack slot burns things but the one below it doesn't cook them fast enough, so I can't figure out how to get things to cook evenly at the right temperature they're supposed to be cooked at within the time frame they're supposed to cook. But things still cook, so as long as I keep my eye on them and rotate dishes, which I've never had to do before, it sort of works out... The next issue is the wifi. That really needs to be improved upon. I can preheat the oven, but it asks me to put in a time like it's cooking from the start of the preheat, but the timer shouldn't start until the preheat is done. This doesn't make sense to me, so I just don't use it. This was a function I was very excited about and it doesn't work right. It should make it easier to preheat, but it's not, so I just get up and go the stove anytime I need to preheat something anyway. Overall, it's still an improvement from the last one but I think this range needs some work before it's perfect. I have been working with Samsung to resolve the issues I'm having but haven't found a resolution yet so as far as I'm concerned, it's a good oven but not great, and could be improved upon. This review is complete as I have found no resolution to my concerns and Samsung found no resolution either.

I absolutely love this range, was so excited for it to come. I bake for my local farmers market and I can't wait for next year. I don't like the way that your belly can turn it off and on, must be careful or use the lock. The oven cooks very even but, the racks slide a little bit at you when you pull it too fast. Needs a bigger under stove drawer. I love the elegant look, a real UPGRADE. The elegant look of the stainless steel is beautiful and the black really sets it off. I love the self cleaning feature so easy. The smart control could be improved by letting the user acess from outside the house. It would be nice to be able to start it on the way home in the car.

Sleek, efficient and well designed

Coming from a coil top stove this has been a fantastic upgrade. The design is sleek, simple and clean. Having the controls in front instead of at the back makes for less mess and easier(safer) use when not having to reach over hot elements. The capacity of this is great with not wasting a bunch of space on an oversized warming drawer. Child locks are simple to engage and work like a charm. Front sections are both dual use for small or large pan which I love. They heat up super fast. Rear warming zone is a welcome addition I never knew I needed. Smart features are awesome! to access and turn off the oven remotely has been so convenient. Preheat does seem take a bit longer than I'd like but also seems to maintain more accurate cook temps so this is a good trade off. The glass top is so much easier to clean. My only tip to prospective buyers is to be sure you have the proper glass top cleaners ready and available. This will save a lot of heartache thinking you ruined your brand new stove top. With the right cleaner and a clean razorblade scraper you will keep this stove top looking shiny and new. The manual doesn't really cover this though which it probably should. All in all we love this new stove and highly recommend it.

Big oven!

I absolutely love this range!! The oven has a very large baking area!! you can cook a turkey while baking all of the side dishes to go along with it!! I like the option to choose burner size on the front two burners! I love the warming center on the back half to keep food warm that is finished first. I like that it is WiFi enabled and can also be controlled by the app. However, I wish it came with a manual, and I did not have to download & print it out myself to figure out how to work it! Setting the time was a challenge because the manual was not clear to hold down the button for three to five seconds then push again to adjust the time. I can not wait for the holidays to cook a big meal with this range!!! It is a very sleek looking & we love the fingerprint proof features! I like that there is no back on the stove! having the front controls makes it much safe to operate. I also like the lock option so that children are not able to turn on.

We cook a lot at home. We understand the value of having a good stove. This stove has been great for us. The custom front burners are nice for when we need to use a smaller pan. The burners heat up well and keep the pan evenly heated. The oven has been wonderful. We've cooked so many things in it already. The touch controls are nice looking. They were a little challenging at first, I had to get my wife to show me a few things. I like that it has a few more settings than a regular oven. I can see us making many more things we haven't tried before. We're looking forward to more cooking adventures with this range.

the range is very stylish and works very well. i like the child lock function most because it keeps my children safe. the wifi function is a bit useless to us since we use the cook top most of the time. if the range can remote control the cook top, it would be nice. i do not even see the function in the more advanced to models. maybe there are some laws forbidding the function.

wow! what an upgrade i haven't needed a new stove in 20 plus years and this was worth the wait!!! it boils water in under 5 minutes! the stove is extra large, i can't wait to cook thanksgiving. and the phone options with wifi cant beat it!!!!!

i have only had this range for a few weeks now but i am loving it so far. it looks very sleek & modern and makes a great statement in the kitchen. i connected the range to my smartthings app and the entire process was pretty smooth but i am not sure how much i will actually use it but still a neat feature.

I am over the moon with this Samsung 6.3 cu ft Front Control Slide-In Electric Range. I am a huge cooker and I love to entertain for family and friends. I am also a huge technology freak and the awesome fact that I can control this bad boy with wi-if is amazing. I connected the range with my phone and that gives me the ability to preheat the oven with my phone. When the oven is done with cooking the phone notifies me as well. This beautiful piece of equipment come with four burners and one warmer. The knobs are located on the front of the range along with the settings. The oven setting and options are just as impressive. I have used my oven numerous times and my meals are cooked thoroughly an evenly. The heat seems to target the food directly and cooks my food perfectly. My old oven was lopsided and cooked everything unevenly, so this range is an amazing upgrade. My only con with this range is that I have accidentally turned on the oven when I didn't mean to, by brushing against the stove, so the lock feature is a life saver. I lock the oven and it stays locked all day until I manually unlock it. The lock feature is effective especially if you have small children. The oven light is handy to see your food while its cooking and fan kicks automatically on once the oven is turned on and I absolutely love that feature. The look of the burners add an elegant touch to the range. I do have to clean the cook top more frequently, but if you clean the glass cook top daily then build up will not occur. I am impressed with the design and the location of the oven burners are on the top of the oven instead of the bottom so clean up is less complicated. The self clean feature it easy to follow, but do remove the racks before the cleaning process. I love that cook my is significantly quicker, whether I'm cooking in the oven or on the stove top. I am very impressed with this Samsung Range and the sky is the limit.

the installation and use of this range has been great. really like the ease of use and since it's the first new range we have had, it's been like a dream. my only 2 complaints are that the rubber strip on the front between the glass cooktop and the controls gets food in it easily but does not clean with the same ease and the glass cook top shows everything because it is just a solid black...fingerprints, grease...you name it. using a norwex glass cleaning cloth takes care of it, but would be nice to not have the extra step. delivery was very timely and professional. Updating my kitchen and this range fits perfectly. Love the warming center that every morning keep my pour over coffee decanter hot. With electric oven is a great feature, roasts amazing, heats up quickly, bake great.Has features that my other oven didn't have. I'm Learning to work around that. I have used the self clean feature and it worked well. About the fingerprints resistance finish is nice,clean easily. Only complaint is that the surface Scratches easily. Hispanic rice is my favorite food to Cook and I can bake more cookies a time. The WIFI features is working good, my husband just find out.. I can control the oven and more when I'm rush. Easy to install,Works and looks perfect. Getting this Samsung range into my home is the best thing i have done lately. i really can't praise this range enough. it is awesome. After using this stove a few weeks I understand just how bad my old stove was as this makes cooking a dream!

I cant say anymore great things about this range, I am so happy that I upgraded, I had a range for 20 plus years, best investment that I made, I love the warming burner it comes in very handy when I have finished cooking but don't want the food to get cold in the 10 mins it takes to get everything together for dinner. I love the capacity of the oven, it holds quite a bit of food, I was able to bake a chicken mac and cheese and another dish, all with extra space. I love the look of the range, it complements my kitchen very much, its so sleek and makes everything look so good.

Wonderful Range

I will be honest - my partner does most of the cooking. What I have noticed, though, is that our stovetop is much faster at heating up, easier to control temperature, and more consistent overall than the last one we had. Oven seems to be fine. Heats up quickly, has little alarms to tell us when preheating is done, which is great so we don't have to keep an eye on it, and can be preheated from an app. The alerts even show up on our tv if we misplaced our phone so has multiple ways to keep an eye on it. I have no complaints. The top surface is easy to clean. We have not had to clean the inside yet. I also love the warming section of the stovetop - we've used it a couple of times and never had this before - it's great to keep things warm without continuing to cook. Can't wait to try the other functions of the oven, like the bread proof function. It has so many fun options and is really intuitive to use.

i decided to upgrade my appliances, samsung seems to have a very good name so i decided to go with a samsung range. as soon as it was installed the display screen would not work. i called the support line and the customer service representative talked with me for over 30 minutes and we could not get it to work so i had to file a ticket so someone could come out to look at it. the technical support person came out and saw that the ribbon was not connected which is why the display screen would not work. almost one week later i locked the control screen so i could clean it because the buttons are very sensitive and now it will not unlock. definitely choose another option. i should not have to keep resetting the breaker to be able to use it.
